Prof. Xiaochang Wang delivers keynote speech at International Conference on Green Technologies for Sustainable Water

Prof. Xiaochang Wang was invited by Prof. Huu Hao Ngo of the University of Technology, Sydney to deliver a keynote speech at the International Conference on Green Technologies for Sustainable Water (GTSW) that took place in Hanoi, Vietnam on October 13-16, 2017.

 
GTSW is jointly organized by the University of Wollongong (UoW), the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Tianjin Polytechnic University, Vietnam – Japan University (VJU), and Vietnam University of Science (VUS). The conference covered the latest and most innovative technological developments in water supply, wastewater purification, water recycling, resource recovery from wastewater, and water resources management.
 
Prof Wang’s address draws up on his views on anaerobic digestion for waste-to-resource recycling from food wastes. Prof. Wang indicated that the disposal of food wastes (FW) is becoming a serious problem in China, from the viewpoint of environmental pollution. However, FW contains recoverable resources, and anaerobic digestion is a promising technology that should be efficiently utilized.
