1st Experts Forum on Urban Water Security and Resource Recovery held in Xian, China

The 1st experts forum on urban water security and resource recovery and opening ceremony of Academician Studio for Prof. Li'an Hou was held on December 14, 2018, in Xi’an, China. The event was co-organized by the International S&T Cooperation Center for Urban Alternative Water Resources Development (Int’l AWR Center) and Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT). Over 400 representatives and scholars from universities and research institutes attended.

 Opening Ceremony of Academician Studio

Seven world-leading researchers and scientists were invited to give keynote lectures, namely, Prof. Li'an Hou, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Science, Prof. Xiaochang Wang, Director of Int’l AWR Center, Prof. Xiaodi Hao, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Prof. Yongyou Hu, South China University of Technology, Prof. Hualin Wang, East China University of Science and Technology, and Prof. Chun Hu, Guangzhou University. The presentations covered various aspects of urban water security and resource recovery, which generated broad interests from the attendees and stimulated wide-ranging discussions.
